As I mentioned at the end of my last blog post negative effects on our health are a combination of factors making it difficult to tease out how each bad actor contributes to human health issues. As in discussing cadmium perhaps it interacts with substances added to our foods like hormones, antibiotics and/or possibly insecticides as well as herbicides. All or none of these may affect our food and thus us.

No matter what we do as for example with heavy metals, as they are essentially ubiquitous in soil and often in the air, there is no way to avoid some exposure. As say you’re a fisherman who happens to live in an area where the soil is clay which has higher cadmium levels and eat a lot of fish.

Well if that fish’s diet is high in worms which eat vegetable matter from the soil with high cadmium levels it will accumulate in the worms and thus the fish you eat. Thus, you may believe your eating natural by eating self-caught, natural fish, only to be in fact upping your cadmium exposure.

No, I never have heard of anyone eating fish they caught developing cadmium poisoning (typically renal failure). But low cumulative levels over time may predispose us to other ailments we would otherwise not have. That is again what makes trying to sort this out difficult.

As it could be that you are exposed to many substances none individually at toxic levels but enough at high enough doses that they cumulatively affect our health. By say making you more prone to cancer. This is speculation on my part, but reason more study is needed

That is however why self-educating yourself is important to assure you do what it takes to assure you have a stronger immune system, gut health and overall health both physical and mental. Thus, the less likely you are to succumb to physical or mental disease.

As an older physician once told me and as I have written before that most cancers start after a severe emotional shock. A shock that I believe suppresses your immune system. Well if your immune system is at optimal function then there is less chance of this happening and better chance of recovering.

If your mental health is at peak function the better able you are to maintain your physical health. The mind body connection as they say. As I written before in my book about the genotype and phenotype. To summarize we want the healthiest phenotype which is the expression of our genes.

As our genes determine what we are. How we look and how our body functions. So, as much as we can we don’t want to through stress knock out our good genes. To protect our genes, we want vitamin D3 at optimal blood levels which in my opinion based on having treated thousands of patients activates the Madison-HannaH effects.

These effects include optimizing your metabolism, sleep and perhaps most importantly boost our immune system. As all interconnected and thus affecting each other. By for one boosting our immune system by allowing it to better define what is self (those antigens that our part of our body).

What do you understand regarding the corona virus entering the cells of our bodies via ACE and the potential for megadoses of Vit d upregulating these enzymes thus enhancing the risk for symptoms,.
I currently have my family on 30000 iu day for protection purposes . is this considered a megadose and are the concerns regarding vit d and A a reality or a potenital concern?
Thanks
Nicky
