Many factors go into to slowing the aging process. Vitamin D3 from what is known is it appears that it can slow your aging. First by the fact that by improving deep restorative sleep improves one health. In an earlier blog post I write about how vitamin D3 controls ones sleep to create the best environment to acquire deep restorative sleep.
Deep restorative sleep also results in better health both physically and mentally which improves one’s odds to living longer. For example, being physically healthier slows the wear and tear on your body. Thus, cell on average live longer, organs are healthier, and we are better able to fight off those things that can harm and shorten our life whether infections, trauma or whatever. As not only living longer but with better health is the gold standard as isn’t that what we are all looking for?
Another area vitamin D3 helps is our body fat storage. All the recent rage is diets like the Mediterranean diet, keto diet, and such to lose weight. But none of which most people can continue to do for long. Losing weight is important as being overweight has been shown to be a danger our health. For example, recent studies have shown mice that were fed low calorie diets lived longer then those not. In an earlier blog I discuss vitamin D3’s effect on our metabolism resulting in our bodies gravitating to our ideal body weight.
Thus, not in winter mode with obesity the result of and especially after years and perhaps decades of sub optimal vitamin D3 blood levels. As with obesity we mammals are chronically in an inflamed state which is not good. An inflamed state indicates you’re your body’s immune system is revved up. This shows that something isn’t good in the body and a waste of energy with increased wear and tear on our body if not necessary.
This inflammation I believe is due to an issue in the gut which again I blogged about earlier. I believe the bacteria in the gut damage the gut lining, in particular the junctions between the cells to create gaps. These gaps allow toxic bacteria and their chemical secretions to inter our bodies. Then our immune system must go and try to clean this up. This is where some if not all the chronic low grade inflammation comes from. See how all these effects that vitamin D3 has on our health all tie together and why it isn’t simple to explain?
Then over all as I have blogged before vitamin D3 keeps you in summer form so no chronic inflammation as with the immune system is in balance promoting the survival of beneficial gut microbiota. Thus, a balance is maintained preventing damage to the gut wall. See preventative medicine. Indirectly by sleeping better, balanced metabolism and of course having a more robust but balanced immune system all of which help prevent disease improving health and longevity.
